Tax efficient giving
Did you know that tax could actually bring a smile to someone’s face?
Once a year the Revenue Commissioners allows Irish charities to claim tax back on behalf of donors who have given over €250 in a tax year.
By simply completing and returning the tax relief form, an annual donation of €250 at a standard rate of 20% tax will raise an additional €62.50 and at the higher rate of 41% tax the figure rises to €173.73!
So, on top of the donation you’ve already made, you could also help us start new area development programmes or provide disaster relief for families in urgent need.
It won’t cost you a cent
It literally take just one minute to download the form and complete it – and remember, it doesn’t cost you a cent! All we need is your signature.
If you are a PAYE tax payer, this tax relief can only be claimed by the charity rather than the individual who has made the contribution. If it is not claimed, the money simply remains with the Revenue Commissioners.
