When you become a child sponsor, you actually see the difference you make to both the child and the community. You will be able to follow his or her progress by receiving regular updates. For instance Janifer (below) is a sponsored child in Tanzania. Her Irish sponsor has been able to see the progress that Janifer has made over the last number of years through her annual updates and pictures.

Your donation helps us to work in partnership with all the members of the community – parents, children, farmers, teachers. Together we build schools, water systems, health clinics – we help set up small businesses and improve farming methods for better crop yields. So, whilst you build a one-to-one relationship with your sponsored child and see all of this amazing progress through his or her eyes, you can also take great pleasure in knowing that you are helping many more children through our work in the community.What happens next?
- Within 7 days of signing up as a child sponsor, you’ll receive a welcome pack with further information about your sponsorship.
- Within 12 weeks you should receive an introductory letter from the child you have sponsored.
- Every year you’ll receive a progress report and a new photo of your sponsored child plus updates on how the community is developing.
